Neither cast nor molded, Sounding II is handwoven from nearly 1,000 individually formed and interlocked rings. A dense sterling silver core gives the sculpture an unexpected weight in the palm, while its articulated structure retains the visual softness of cloth.
Sounding II achieved the highest auction result of any artwork offered at the gala.
